In cazul in care scuza obisnuita pentru a nu face exercitii este  lipsa timpului, atunci este o veste proasta.

Exercitile fizice intense pentru mai putin de 2,5 minute pe zi pot arde in jurul valorii de 200 de calorii, spun cercetatorii de la Universitatea de Stat din Colorado. Ei au comparat consumul de energie al unui grup de barbati in doua zile diferite - un grup a petrecut ziua in fata televizorului, celalalt a facut exercitii de mare intensitate fizica, urmate de  perioade lungi de recuperare.

Pentru a determina cat de multe calorii s-ar putea arde in timpul unui antrenament tipic sprint, cercetatorul Sevits Kyle si colegii sai au recrutat cinci voluntari sanatosi de sex masculin, toti cu varste cuprinse intre 25 si 31.

Dupa trei zile, oamenii au avut o dieta care le le oferea exact cantitatea de calorii de care aveau nevoie. Dupa aceasta perioada a urmat o zi de sedentarism, iar in urmatoarea zi au reluat exercitiile. Exercitiile constau in spinning la o viteza foarte mare timp de 30 de secunde in 5 reprize.
Dupa fiecare repriza au luat o pauza de patru minute, in care au pedalat lent. In celor 30 de secunde de spining, cercetatorii au incurajat incontinuu, sa depuna cat mai mult efort.
In timpul antrenamentelor oamenii au ars in medie 200 de calorii, in ciuda unui timp foarte scurt pe care l-au alocat exercitiilor, si anume de doar 2.5 minute.

"Cercetarile arata ca multi oameni incep un program de exercitii fizice, dar pur si simplu nu pot tine pasul".  Cel mai mare des invocat motiv pentru care oamenii renunta la sport este lipsa timpului. Arderea unui numar de 200 de calorii prin aceste exercitii de scurta durata, de cateva ori pe saptamana ne poate ajuta sa slabim cate 2-3 kilograme pe care le punem in fiecare an”, a spus dl Sevits.

Recomandarile oficiale sugereaza sa facem 150 de minute de exercitii fizice moderate sau 75 de minute de exercitii la un nivel intems pe saptamana.
